GLA:D Program for Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis
The GLA:D program focuses on education, exercise and weight control for Hip and Knee osteoarthritis. Over 35,000 people have completed the program globally, reporting an average 27% improvement. Even if your condition is severe or progresses to joint replacement surgery, exercise, education and weight loss improves outcomes.
GLA:D Program Components:
- Two Free (1 Hour) Education sessions on osteoarthritis, including GLA:D exercise program details. There is no obligation to continue the GLA:D program if you attend these sessions
- An Initial Physiotherapy assessment and data collection session and a further 3 month follow up session
- 12 x one hour GLA:D group exercise classes lead by a GLA:D trained Physiotherapists.
- We also recommend Dietitian consultation(s) to assist in addressing weight control for Osteoarthritis management. This is not a core component of the GLA:D program
